Inner Child Exploration
Sometimes certain issues require that you ‘re-visit’ a particular event or time in your past. This can be to seek out the origins of a particular behaviour or emotion but often it is simply part of knowing the child which still exists somewhere in us all. This kind of therapy can be emotional but also very liberating. In ‘speaking’ directly to your inner child you can re-assess events as an adult whilst still acknowledging how it affected you as a child and how it manifests itself in your current life. Anger issues are one example of this.Inner child therapy can also be helpful in looking at past parenting issues where your needs were not met and in healing the pain of the child you were but did not have the vocabulary or ability to express. Inner child therapy is empowering. If you feel it is a therapy suited to you then we will discuss this at length in your first session.
