R.E.B.T (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy)
I am a qualified R.E.B.T therapist. This is an evidence supported cognitive therapy which aims to re-balance irrational negative thoughts about life and living into a more realistic and manageable way. R.E.B.T doesn’t look into past events, rather it addresses problems which arise in the here and now.
All of us have beliefs and opinions which have arisen from an event or even (dare I say) places like social media which have escalated into negative and life affecting thoughts and behaviours. It doesn’t have to be serious yet but R.E.B T can identify and re-frame these thoughts from becoming permanent and having potentially serious consequences. Please be aware that this is not hypnotherapy and I will be providing the structure and guidance throughout the sessions in a way which confront and focus directly on your issues. You will be required to keep a journal which will be discussed at each session and the goal is for you to make profound changes which will change your whole perception of life in the present. This is not a one session solution focused therapy but as always the potential number of sessions needed will be discussed at our first meeting.
